I love Mountain Lion – I think I have made that clear over the last little while. I will go so far as to say that if you have upgraded to Lion, and provided your Mac is eligible, then there is no reason to avoid this upgrade. If you are happy with 10.6 or 10.5 and you don’t own an iPad or iPhone then Laissez Faire.
But with Mountain Lion comes this distasteful obsession with the Anachronistic Faux leather look in Calendar and Contacts. It is out of place, it is sickly and stupid and it looks like Liberace exploded insisde your Mac.
Fortunately for free (or a small donation depending on your feelings on the subject) you can download Lion or Mountain LionTweaks that removes this digital eyesore and modify many other things besides.
Its well worth a download and explore how much better Lion and Mountain Lion can be.
